Professional info​

I have over five years of customer service experience providing the skills to work with many different types of people.  I am a highly motivated and organized individual as demonstrated through academic and professional performance. My professional interests include marketing, public relations, design and event planning.  While attending Bellarmine University, I have gained valuable experience in all aspects of the communication and marketing fields such as brand management, writing for various mediums such as newspaper and online, as well as oral communication. I would be a great asset to any organization. 

 

Work experience
Marketing & Communication Intern. Community Foundation of Louisville.

May 2017 - Present​

 

As an intern for Community Foundation, I play a key part in the office culture.  I work with people from all different departments on different graphic design, video, writing, and marketing projects.  I am also played a key roll in one of Community Foundation's biggest initiatives, Give For Good Louisville.  GFGL is a 24 hour day of giving in which nonprofits participate to raise money for their organization.  This year, over 500 nonprofits participated and raised over $4.6 million total.  I am worked to create a PSA video which was pushed out on WHAS, WLKY, and various local radio broadcasts.  I worked with the rest of the marketing team to create a lip dub video in which we adapted the lyrics of 'My Shot" from the popular broadway musical Hamilton.  I shot and produced this video which gained over 97,000 views on Facebook.  In addition to this video work, I created various print and digital ads and worked on social media and the execution of the day.

August 2016 - Present​

 

As the Office Manager and Photography Assistant for Tammy Howell, I complete a variety of tasks.  I review and edit photos after sessions, assist in scheduling client appointments, and assist with photoshoots.  

Intern. Fund for the Arts.

August 2016 - April 2017​

 

As an intern, I had the opportunity to develop my skills in all areas of communication.  I managed their Twitter account, wrote Facebook and Instagram posts, as well as live Tweeted at events.  I created a marketing plan for The Louisville Arts Link App and executed a promotional video using Adobe Premier Pro.  I completed various design projects creating promotional material and wrote press releases.

 
Marketing Assistant. Chick-fil-A Glenmary.

February 2016 - August 2016​

 

As the Marketing Assistant for Chick-fil-A, I directed in-store events such as school spirit nights and kids nights by decorating the store for the events, providing second mile service to guests, and serving as the marketing representative for the event.  I also assisted the Restaurant Marketing Director with out-of-store and community events such as golf scrambles and their annual summer bash. Finally, I assisted with catering deliveries to ensure that the guests are provided for effectively.

​June 2015 - May 2016

 

As an intern, I gained a lot of hands on experience in all aspects of the Communication field.  I enhanced my written communication skills while writing Buzzfeed articles for the Bellarmine Buzzfeed account.  I was in charge of updating the Bellarmine website through which I learned simple html coding and web editing skills.  I also enhanced my collaborative communication skills while working with my piers to create content for both the Bellarmine Buzzfeed account and digital signage posted around campus. In all of these projects, I was held to strict deadlines, which taught me the importance of completing work on time.

​2012 - 2016

 

As a Cashier and Clerk, I was required to communicate with all types of people to assist them in finding the correct products as well as buying the products.  Often times, this involved detailed descriptions and language barriers, making my oral communication skills especially useful.  As a postal worker, customers came in to the store relying on me to complete transactions in a timely manner.  This required me to develop an efficient and attentive work ethic, which I have carried throughout my career in both school and work.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude in May of 2017.  I completed course work in areas such as interpersonal communication, visual communication, public speaking, advertising, marketing, and various genres of writing such as news, technical, web, fiction, and poetry.  I gained experience using AP Style and simple HTML coding.  The experience I gained while studying at Bellarmine prepared me to obtain a position in the communication or advertising field.
